Terms & Conditions – Green Edge Outdoor Services

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Green Edge Outdoor Services. By requesting a quotation, booking our services, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

Green Edge Outdoor Services provides a range of domestic and commercial outdoor maintenance services, including but not limited to:

• Lawn mowing

• Hedge cutting and maintenance

• Lawn edging

• Weed control

• Lawn feeding and treatments

• Leaf clearance

• Tree and shrub pruning

• General garden maintenance

• Garden tidy-ups

• Commercial grounds maintenance

Additional services may be available upon request and are subject to availability.

2. Quotations & Pricing

• All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation.

• Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for 7 days from the date of issue.

• Prices are based on the information provided by the customer and site conditions at the time of quotation.

• Should additional work become necessary due to unforeseen circumstances or changes requested by the customer, no additional work will be carried out without prior approval.

• Green Edge Outdoor Services reserves the right to amend quotations where access restrictions, inaccurate information, or unforeseen site conditions significantly alter the scope of work.

3. Bookings & Cancellations

• Bookings may be made by telephone, email, WhatsApp, social media, or through our website.

• We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

• Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may require a deposit before future bookings are accepted.

• We reserve the right to postpone or rearrange appointments due to adverse weather, equipment failure, illness, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• We accept cash, bank transfer, and other agreed payment methods.

• Invoices must be paid within the payment period stated on the invoice.

• Late payments may result in interest being charged in accordance with applicable UK legislation and may result in suspension of future services.

5. Access to Property

Customers are responsible for ensuring:

• Safe and unrestricted access to the property at the agreed appointment time.

• Pets are secured before work begins.

• Vehicles and valuable or fragile items are moved away from working areas where practical.

• Any hazards are disclosed before work commences.

Green Edge Outdoor Services accepts no responsibility for delays or additional costs caused by restricted access or unsafe working conditions.

6. Weather Conditions

As many of our services are weather dependent, Green Edge Outdoor Services reserves the right to postpone or reschedule work where weather conditions would compromise safety or the quality of the finished result.

Customers will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible to arrange an alternative appointment.

7. Customer Responsibilities

By requesting a quotation or booking our services, the customer confirms that:

• They are authorised to instruct the requested work.

• The information provided is accurate.

• Property boundaries have been correctly identified.

• Any underground services, irrigation systems, lighting cables, septic tanks, hidden obstacles, or other hazards have been disclosed before work begins.

Failure to provide accurate information may result in additional charges or limitations on the work carried out.

8. Property Boundaries, Neighbouring Properties & Legal Responsibilities

By instructing Green Edge Outdoor Services to carry out work, the customer confirms that they have the legal authority to authorise the requested work.

Where work involves:

• Boundary hedges

• Shared fences

• Trees

• Shrubs

• Vegetation extending onto neighbouring land

the customer accepts responsibility for obtaining any permissions required before work commences.

Green Edge Outdoor Services accepts no responsibility or liability for disputes between neighbours arising from work carried out in accordance with the customer's instructions.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that any work requested complies with:

• Property ownership rights

• Boundary agreements

• Restrictive covenants

• Planning conditions

• Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs)

• Conservation Area restrictions

• Any other legal restrictions affecting the property.

9. Wildlife & Environmental Protection

Green Edge Outdoor Services is committed to carrying out work responsibly and in accordance with UK legislation.

Customers acknowledge that certain work may be restricted by legislation including, but not limited to, the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which protects active bird nests and certain wildlife.

Before commencing work we may inspect the work area.

Where active nests, protected species, or protected habitats are identified, Green Edge Outdoor Services reserves the right to:

• Refuse the work.

• Delay the work.

• Modify the scope of work.

• Return once it is legally appropriate to proceed.

Customers understand that Green Edge Outdoor Services will not knowingly undertake work that would breach UK environmental or wildlife legislation, regardless of customer instructions.

10. Waste Removal

Unless specifically included within the quotation, all green waste, branches, hedge cuttings, soil, rubble, or other materials generated during the work shall remain on site.

Where waste removal forms part of the agreed quotation, Green Edge Outdoor Services will dispose of waste responsibly using licensed disposal facilities where required.

11. Liability

Green Edge Outdoor Services carries out all work using reasonable skill, care, and professional standards.

However, we shall not be liable for:

• Pre-existing damage to lawns, gardens, patios, driveways, fences, walls, or other structures.

• Damage resulting from hidden underground services or concealed objects not disclosed by the customer.

• Natural plant decline, disease, drought, flooding, pests, or other environmental conditions beyond our control.

• Delays caused by weather, supplier shortages, traffic, or other events beyond our reasonable control.

• Any indirect or consequential losses arising from delays or cancelled appointments.

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the services provided.

12. Website & Privacy

By using our website or booking our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure information on our website is accurate, Green Edge Outdoor Services cannot guarantee that all content will always be free from errors or omissions.

We accept no responsibility for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites linked from our website.

13. Changes to These Terms

Green Edge Outdoor Services reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The latest version published on our website shall apply to all future quotations and bookings.
